/music/ is the newest addition to the list of boards, dating to September 4th, 2017. Here, all threads relating to music on /hob/ were moved. Threads about individual bands, artists, or subjects may be made even if a broader general thread already covers their genre, unlike on /hob/ where threads may have been locked if they covered a subject that may have already been encompassed by an existing thread which covered more than that subject.

Prior to /music/, music threads were created in /hob/, but this often upset users. They perceived the constant music threads as a threat to higher quality threads pertaining to actual hobbies.
