Term from the UK which stands for Not in Employment, Education, or Training. Students cannot ever be considered NEETs. A NEET and a hikki are not mutually inclusive; NEETs can still go outside with regularity while hikkis cannot.
History of the Term
In norman culture, NEET was originally used to refer to the large delinquent population of youth in the UK. With it's colloquial usage on Wizchan, the connotations of thuggery are not assumed.
