Antinatalism

Since Heaven increases nothing but our pain,
And gives naught that it takes not back again,
The unborn ne'er would hither come if they
But knew what we at Fortune's hands sustain.

Antinatalism is a philosophical position that assigns a negative ethical value to birth. Antinatalism is often realized through observation of suffering caused by living, and sometimes by belief in a malevolent demiurge who tortures humans in their existence, and sometimes out of concern for human impact on the environment or animal welfare.
